Christmas Home Tour 2020

Welcome to my Christmas home tour! I am glad you stopped by! There is so much joy and happiness in my heart! I love the holiday season, especially around Christmas Time because I get to be festive and decorate my heart out! This year, I decide to tone it down a bit and minimize the color with a neutral décor scheme.

It has been a challenge not to incorporate too many festive colors as much as I normally would, especially since last Christmas I received some pretty awesome Christmas décor. For the most part, I feel I decorated accordingly to my standards of neutral décor in most of my home, so why not incorporate those minimal festive decorative pieces?

Let The Tour Begin!

The Entryway

First and foremost, the entryway way is always a struggle because it is such a tight fit. I kept it simple with greenery by hanging the garland around the door and a wreath onto the door. There’s also a little Santa, who’s suit I painted a creamy white. Then, added this darling, “It’s the most wonderful time” Christmas scroll. At the top of the stairway, I incorporated frosted cedar and berry picks into the wall planters. They are such a beautiful touch!

The Living Room

This is where I wanted to achieve my neutral décor theme and succeeded. In my favorite room in our home, I styled using several mini trees that varied in color, size, shape, and material! Yes, mixing it up a bit helps bring interest to neutral styled rooms! Some trees are white, some are wood tones, and some are frosted, giving it a variety of texture which is a must have to help create interest. The pillows and blankets made it warm and cozy! I also styled by using chalk board signs with hand written phrases.

The Kitchen

Okay okay, it is not very neutral. Despite the cabinetry and the black countertops, it kind of feels like a winter wonderland. By adding the painted wreaths onto the cabinet doors, plus the white bottled tree sets, and candle jars, the view is pretty nice. Then, there is a beautiful homemade cotton ball wreath which is centered nicely onto a medium sized framed mirror which makes it even more wintery. The seasonal ,”HOME” sign (gifted and so loved,) is such a lovely addition with its rustic winter snowflake. The dining table is placed with cream white plate setting showcasing a gorgeous two-tiered tray centered on the table. Does this space have you walking in a Winter Wonderland yet? Lol, it’s okay if it don’t.

The Master Bedroom

Our master has always been quite simple and neutral! I have not ever decorated a bedroom for Christmas, but this year I was determine to use my gifted holiday presents. They are just so gorgeous in the traditional red color. I simply placed the tree upon the bedside table next to a faux potted plant. Next, I topped the 5 chest of drawers with this really cool musical gingerbread house, along with a vase with filled with bright red picks.

The Den

In the beginning, I was at a lost for this! The den is really my husband space, but the girls wanted the Christmas tree downstairs and I made a promise last year that it would be. He has his wall of his favorite sports teams, but I had to get super creative to make it more Christmassy. Without removing his signs, I simply created two oversized scrolls to cover them up. I was in awe because they are simply stunning and has really made the space. Then, you have the greenery in the center along with the Christmas countdown sign. The tree is covered in beautiful ornaments, twinkly lights, and a nice burlap ribbon, but the real beauty is the Christmas Tree Box! I made it last year which you can view here, but this year I gave it a fresh look, which you can see how here.

The Ending Tour

When it comes to decorating for the holiday season, you can switch it up every year or 2. You can also keep it the same year after year. Your style is your style and if it makes you happy, then that is all that matters.

This year I got to add a little Christmas spirit in almost each room. Decorating the bedrooms for the Christmas holiday season will be my mission next year, so I hope that you stick around. Do you decorate your entire home for Christmas or are there some rooms you leave out?

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas home tour as much as I enjoyed having you here! It is a total improvement from last year’s home tour which you can view here.
